KUALA TERENGGANU, May 25 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth in Terengganu and Kelantan today lodged police reports seeking immediate investigation into the six prominent individuals identified in the report of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Lingam video clip.

Terengganu PKR Youth chief Mohd Fariz Abd Talib alias Musa lodged a report at the Kuala Terengganu district police headquarters about 2 pm while Kelantan PKR Youth chief Wan Khairul Ihsan Wan Muhammad lodged a report at the

Kota Baru district police headquarters about 1 pm.

Mohd Fariz was accompanied by 20 Terengganu PKR Youth members to the police station while Wan Khairul Ihsan had 50 Kelantan PKR Youth members for company.

“We hope the police will begin investigations immediately into the matter and hand over their report to the attorney-general for subsequent action,” said Mohd Fariz, who is also PKR national Youth deputy chief.

On May 16, the Cabinet ordered the attorney-general to immediately direct agencies to investigate allegations levelled at former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, retired chief justices Tun Mohd Eusoff Chin and Tun Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim, former minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan and lawyer Datuk V.K. The Royal Commission of Inquiry, in its report, said there was sufficient cause to invoke the Sedition Act 1948, the Prevention of Corruption Act 1961, the Legal Profession Act 1976 and the Official Secrets Act 1972 against some of the principal individuals involved.

Yesterday, PKR national Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohamad Ali lodged a similar report at the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur. — Bernama
